How to download from torrents

For users having direct connection to internet:

1. First, you need to download and install a Torrent client. For torrent client click here. However, currently the most popular BitTorrent client for PC, Mac and Linux users is Azureus. The choice is yours.
2. Once you have downloaded a torrent client install it.
3. Find a torrent file. You can just do a search for "torrent" on google or try several websites that post torrent files for download.
4. Just find a file you want to download from categories like games, movies, TV shows, applications.. whatever you want.
5. Now open the torrent file that you downloaded from the Internet using the torrent client you already installed.
6. Once you successfully open a torrent file, you will then be prompted to save the full file somewhere. You can save it on your hard-drive.
7. Once you start accessing a torrent file, you have to wait. The torrent client will try to find a location from where to download.
8. The torrent client (utorrent or Azureus) will display the number of seeders (one who has compelte file) and Leechers (one who is downloading like you). The more the number of seeders the more downlaod speed you get (limited by your internet connection speed). Also, the more popular a file, the faster the download speed.
   
9. Because you're uploading while your downloading your PC will be a little bit slower.
10. If you leave the torrent download window open when your download has finished, you are automatically allowing other people to continue downloading pieces of the torrent from you. So if you have limited bandwidth, you may want to be sure to close the download windows when they're done!

For users having firewall or using a proxy server to connect to internet:

1. Some of you will be using proxy servers to connect to internet and your proxy server may not allow you to download torrents. There may be a firewall for torrents with your proxy server. Don't worry you can still download with a simple trick.
2. The trick here is to bypass the firewall with the help of a tunnel. All you need to do is downlaod a tunnel software and install it. The most popular tunnel s/w is http tunnel. You can download it from here and then install it.
   
3. First time when you launch http tunnel, it will give messages whether to configure it or not. Configure for the first time as shown below.

Enter your proxy address and then click enter. If your proxy allows http tunnel then you will be able to download from torrents.
